Lamar Smith Sets Judiciary Committee Hearing on Recess Appointments
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith has set February 15 for the full committee to consider the constitutionality of recent appointments made by the Obama Administration. Among these was Richard Cordray as Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and three individuals appointed to the National Labor Relations Board.
Texas Alliance for Life Again Endorses Smith for Congress
Texas Alliance for Life Executive Director Joe Pojman wrote Congressman Smith on December 16, 2001, to give the news that the TAL had again endorsed Smith heading into the 2012 elections.
Lamar Smith Seeks Re-election
Lamar Smith today filed for re-election to Congress. Smith represents the 21st District, which runs from Bexar County to Travis County and stretches west into the Hill Country.
"I'm grateful for the past support of my constituents, and I'm working to build on this trust going into 2012," Smith said.
