Lamar Smith Receives Mitt Romney Endorsement

Congressman Lamar Smith today received the endorsement of former United States Presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s Free and Strong America PAC.
“Texans are fortunate to have so many strong Republican candidates running for office, like Lamar Smith, who will work to turn around our economy by cutting wasteful spending, keeping taxes low, and fostering job creation. By electing fiscally-conservative leaders who will say no to higher taxes, higher spending, and higher debt, we will get our economy back on track,” said Romney.
Smith represents the 21st Congressional District. He serves as the ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee, as well as a senior member of the Homeland Security and Science Committees.
“I am honored to receive the support of my friend and Republican leader Mitt Romney,” Smith said. “This election will determine the future direction of our country and I sincerely appreciate his backing of my re-election efforts.”
The 21st Congressional District includes all or part of Bandera, Bexar, Blanco, Comal, Kendall, Kerr, Real and Travis Counties.
